This course is designed for those who want to enrich their photographic skills with the amazing art of Macro Photography. Photographing flowers, jewelry, coins, virtually anything with beautiful detail will be enhanced through learning the proper techniques.
We will teach you about working with macro lenses and extension tubes to get in ultra-close to your subject.
Managing the extremely shallow depth-of-field associated with Macro Photography will be explained as well as subject lighting. We will discuss both natural and artificial options for your lighting purposes.
This 1 session class meets at South Shore Natural Science Center, Norwell, MA in Vine Hall on June 9, 4:00 - 7:00 pm.
Students should have a basic understanding of camera and controls. Also needed is the ability to copy and move files on a laptop pc. A laptop should be brought to class with a basic photo editing software such as Google Picasa (free), or Lightroom, Aperture, or Iphoto.
